ACUTE CARDIAC CARE COURSE - Gold Coast - 19th to 24th October 2020 - RN, EEN, PARA
RN, EEN, PARA
The course is delivered in intensive mode over 5 days and is equivalent to a one semester tertiary course in teaching and study time. May also be undertaken for professional development if not undertaking post graduate studies.
Due to the COVID19 threat the format for the course has been altered to reduce the face-to-face time, making the finish time each day a little shorter. Class numbers have been restricted to allow more distancing.
Some lectures will be provided as online recorded video presentations. The details are sent as a pdf file with the video link and a password (usually a 7-8 digits), also the usual pre-reading notes as another pdf file.
These courses have previously been held twice annually on the Gold Coast. Many of enrolments are from undergraduate nursing students, as well as registered nurses and paramedics who want to do the courses for professional development.
Restructuring of our business model, the Gold Coast courses will be offered by Health Ed Professionals P/Ltd three times per year, possibly more depending on demand.
The cardiac course is a very interesting elective for Undergraduate Nurses and all registered nurses. It has a strong clinical application. The course addresses knowledge and practical application of Advanced Life Support with the explanation of Life-threatening arrhythmias and treatment being addressed in detail. Assistance is given to all nurses on how to cope in a cardiac arrest. Very applicable for all registered and enrolled nurses.
Anne has extensive knowledge on arrhythmias and 12 Lead ECGs and she will be supported by clinical teachers from hospitals, Roseann Jane, and Helen Gunter.
The number of students will be limited to a smaller number which ensures each student and registered nurses will be given support.
