This Code of Practice affirms Health Ed Professionals commitment to the provision of quality education activities.

Commitment

We conduct all of our educational activities professionally and provide the latest in clinical information.

We are committed to maintaining the highest degree of integrity in all our dealings with potential, current and past clients.

We maintain the quality of what we do through constant ongoing review of the feedback from clients, of all aims, activities, outcomes and the cost-effectiveness of every activity.

We are committed providing excellent education activities in quality venues ensuring the experience is not only educational but enjoyable.

All educators at Health Ed Professionals will strive to develop and maintain professional relationships with learners based upon the best interests of those learners; base their professional practice on continuous professional learning, the best knowledge available about curriculum content and pedagogy, together with their knowledge about those they teach.  Facilitators and educators encourage learners to utilize critical thinking, and cater for the varied learning needs of diverse learners.

The seminars and learning opportunities seeks to contribute to the development of an open and reflective professional culture, treat colleagues and associates with respect, working with them co-operatively and collegially to promote students' learning, and assisting new graduates and all learners to the health profession.

We are committed to the highest ethical standards; we have a responsibility to always conduct and present ourselves in a professional manner, and demonstrate respect for all persons, whether fellow employees, clients or members of the public.

Delivery of a variety of learning strategies, using adult learning principles.

Health Ed Professionals delivers a variety of learning strategies, from class room didactic style to group discussions, worksheets and clinical practical.

Adult learning principles are incorporated into the training.  Adults bring a vast array of history and experience to the learning environment.  Adults come to a learning opportunity with a wealth of experience and a great deal to contribute.  Trainers are successful when they identify ways to build on and make use of adults’ hard-earned experience.

Creates a comfortable learning environment

Educational institutions have a duty of care to students, guest speakers and any others who use them.  These range from Occupational Health & Safety concerns to psychological safety of all who use Health Ed Professionals.  Various venues are used in the provision of our education activities.  All venues meet with the Australian Health and Safety requirements.

Complaints / feedback

We treat complaints from clients seriously and respond to constructive feedback as an opportunity for improvemen

Cancellation Policy

Non payment of invoiced registration fees does not constitute a cancellation, which must be made either by email, phone, fax or letter and be acknowledged by us as having been noted and the Tax Invoice voided.  Unless we are made aware of your intention not to attend we are obliged to book and pay for your place at the seminar venue, which involves us in considerable unrecoverable costs. You will be held responsible for these charges and any other charges incurred on your behalf.

Cancellations by registrants 30 days prior to events will receive a refund less 15% administrative costs.

Cancellations less than 30 days but more than 14 days will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations less than 14 days of event no refunds.

We reserve the right to cancel an event up to 14 days prior to the event if registrations numbers are insufficient to make the event financially viable. Our policy is to avoid cancellations if at all possible, as we are aware that there are other factors other than your registration fee that will impact upon our clients if we should have to cancel.

In the unlikely event this happens a full refund of the registration fee will be made to registrants.

All efforts will be made to ensure that the advertised speakers present at our events or a speaker of similar standard is substituted if they are unavailable on the day because of unforeseen circumstances.

Advanced Life Support workshops cancelled less than 7 days from the event will not be refunded, however the registrant will be offered a place in the next scheduled event with space available. These workshops are limited in numbers to maximise the learning experience.
